# User Deletion

User Deletion can be achieved by using the [delete\_user](https://graphqldocs.sentiance.com/#mutation-delete_user) mutation. An [API Key](/legacy-docs/important-topics/authentication-and-authorization.md) with the [USER\_DELETE](/legacy-docs/important-topics/authentication-and-authorization.md#api-keys) scope must be used to call the deletion mutation.

A `request_id` is returned as the result of the mutation. This is for debugging purposes only and can be sent to Sentiance support in case there is a problem with user deletion and debugging needs to be performed.
